Gabbro granite: an original solution for architects and designers

Gabbro granite is a unique natural mineral of plutonic origin. The rock has a very complex composition, including plagioclase, olivine, pyroxenes, silicon, and quartz. This fine- and medium-grained stone is extremely durable, resistant to abrasion, and not susceptible to negative environmental influences. At the same time, it is easy to process and can be polished, ground, chiseled, or cut.

Gabbro comes in a wide range of colors. Black and very dark types are more common, but other shades are also possible: greenish, marshy, purple, and blue-blue. Thanks to its unique texture, gabbro granite shines and glows even in its unprocessed form. After polishing, its surface acquires a cosmic depth and completely unique properties.

Gabbro granite: price and application

A major advantage of this stone is its low hygroscopicity. It practically does not absorb water, which allows the material to be used for landscaping. The stone is used to make paving stones and crushed stone for laying paths, playgrounds, and areas around buildings. Products laid on a sand bed do not deform, do not lose their attractive appearance, and are not affected by frost, rain, or the scorching sun. Gravel can be used as a plasticizer, increasing the strength of building mixtures.

Gabbro granite, which is reasonably priced, is indispensable in the funeral services industry. Dark varieties are used to create monuments and gravestones, bas-reliefs, and sculptures.
