Pokostovsky granite: the star of Zhytomyr region
One of the most valuable and amazing types of stone is mined near the village of Pokostovka. The granite, named after the deposit, is extremely durable and very beautiful. In addition, the blocks have virtually no flaws: cracks, spots, or uneven color. Pokostovsky granite has a uniform color in noble gray tones. The texture of the pattern is clearly defined—white and dark gray speckles are scattered on a delicate pearl background. After polishing or honing, the surface acquires a noble depth, and the monochrome color looks stylish and very modern. Pokostovsky granite, whose price attracts many, is extremely resistant to adverse natural influences. It tolerates heat and drought and does not change its appearance in high humidity or frost. The stone is practically eternal, it is not susceptible to mechanical stress, but is very easy to process.
