Vasilyevsky granite: advantages and characteristics
Ukrainian granite deposits are a source of unique rocks. High-quality varieties are mined here, distinguished by their increased strength, interesting colors, and versatility. One of the outstanding local varieties is Vasilyevsky granite, which is indispensable for finishing and ritual work.
This valuable rock is mined in the area around the village of Kamenna Hora. Granite is classified as a Class I, universal radioactivity class. This safe and environmentally friendly material is suitable for any finishing work and is used to create classic interiors, decorate houses, and lay paths.
The stone has a distinctive shade—a warm brown with frequent greenish flecks. Experts note its increased strength, resistance to chipping, and temperature changes. The mineral does not wear out with prolonged use and practically does not absorb water.
What is Vasilyevsky granite used for?
Chipped granite tiles are perfect for paving, blending in with the landscape and adding the charm of wild nature. Polished blocks are indispensable for laying floors and steps and cladding foundations. They are also suitable for creating furniture: consoles, bar and kitchen counters, fireplace boards. The striking color of Vasilyevsky stone is appreciated by sculptors and artists, and its austere nobility is used by manufacturers of tombstones and memorial plaques.
Vasilyevsky granite is famous for its affordable price, it is easy to process and blends well with other materials: marble, sandstone, wood, glass, and metal.
